Street Gangs Awareness

Instructor:  Al Valdez is an Investigator for the Orange County District Attorney’s Office for many years.  He has investigated and done research with gang culture and the gang enviornment, and is considered one of the nation's leading authorities. He provides us with a dynamic and entertaining multimedia presentation on gang history and the current problem of gangs in this country.

Course Description:  This dynamic speaker will discuss youth violence, types of gangs and gang culture, gang profiles, occult/ritual groups, the Goth Movement, Tagger Crews, the meaning of tattoos and other identifying characteristics and safety for EMS personnel when confronted with the gang environment.
