PEPP Training Program

The PEPP (Pediatric Education for the Prehospital Professional) course is endorsed by the EMS for Children Project and the EMS Authority of California.  The PEPP course emphasizes the Pediatric Assessment Triangle for severity of illness or injury.  The course is case-based with multiple opportunities for the participant to practice pediatric assessment during the interactive lecture presentation as well as in the skills lab sessions.

The skills labs also offer practice with the pediatric resuscitation tape, advanced airway management, vascular access and fluid resuscitation, and assessment and intervention for respiratory distress/failure, shock, and brain dysfunction (seizures, toxic exposure, ALOC).
