NURSE TO PARAMEDIC PROGRAM

This course is designed to promote a highly efficient team in the field of Emergency Medical Care, by including a Nurse as part of the team. Emphasis is placed on bringing the nursing expertise to prehospital care, to create really specialized teams. Specific medical problems formerly cared for in hospitals present new patient care issues for emergency teams. Emergency nurses can bridge this gap to create a truly effective team for these patients.

PRE-REQUISITES:

  • Submit a copy of RN license (active status).
  • Submit a copy of a current CPR card, current ACLS and PALS card.
  • Provide proof of hepatitis B immunization and a negative TB skin test or chest X-ray
  • Provide proof of current medical coverage
  • Provide a recent background check
  • Must have two years of Emergency Nurse Experience
  • Submit a letter of recommendation from a Supervisor or Employer

Continuing Education is awarded.
